Petrolina sponsored another major sports event, this time by supporting the Ayia Napa Youth Soccer Festival for children aged 6 to 16, which was held from 31 March to 4 April, 2018.

The Ayia Napa Youth Soccer Festival is the oldest event organised by football academies in Cyprus and one of the biggest tournaments in the Mediterranean and the Middle East. It promotes Cyprus internationally, attracting around 20,000 visitors every year.

More than 350 teams with 5,500 players from Cyprus and abroad took part in this year’s tournament which was dedicated to Fair Play, supported by the Cyprus Sports Organisation and held under the auspices of the Cyprus Football Federation and Ayia Napa Municipality. Former football player and Fair Play ambassador Constantinos Charalambides, was one of the guest speakers at the event.

Sport is central to Petrolina’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and the company sponsors and supports federations, clubs, academies and large sports events which promote teamwork, discipline and fair play among the young.
