Petrolina was for one more year the Grand Sponsor of the Environment and Recycling Festival organized by Green Dot Cyprus, as part of its social contribution. The 7th Festival which included games for young and old, music, environmental communication and creative activities, took place with great success on Saturday 29 May 2017 in the Acropolis Park in Nicosia.

Petrolina, as a Cypriot oil company, actively supports and participates in activities for the citizens’ information, particularly the young, regarding the importance of protecting the environment and the value of recycling.

The company itself is in fact an example worth following, since it applies environmental responsibility measures in all its business actions. From the simple management of recyclable material in its offices, up to the recycling of heavy industrial materials at its fuel facilities and its petrol stations. It invests in renewable energy sources by installing photovoltaic systems in its stations, and distributes in the market the environmentally friendly motor fuels Platinum+, which significantly reduce pollutant emissions.

Petrolina took part in the Environment and Recycling Festival this year, too, with its own stand and members of the volunteers’ team, Petrolina Energy Team, whom it warmly thanks for participating at every invitation by the Company, contributing to the society as a whole.
