With a donation of €37.768, Petrolina, the Cypriot petroleum company, supports the non-profit association ‘Miracle Babies’. The festival’s accountability report was presented at an honorary event for the supporters and volunteers of the Festival that took place in Larnaca on 15 November 2018. The contribution includes a €25.000 donation by Petrolina and €12.768 from the sales of food, beverages, commemorative gifts and contributions from the public at the 4th Petrolina Charity Festival, which took place in September. 

The 4th Petrolina Charity Festival, whose success exceeded every expectation, was dedicated to support the vision of the ‘Miracle Babies’ association of a modern Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Archbishop Makarios Hospital. 

It is estimated, by the number of coupons and venue capacity, that more than 12.000 people visited the Festival. More than 450 volunteers, including those from the Petrolina Community and children from the Petrolina Kids Community and other friends, worked tirelessly at the 31 kiosks of the Festival. 

An honorary plaque was awarded to the Cypriot Olympic and World Champion and Rolex World Sailor of the Year 2018, Pavlos Kontides, who is already a member of the Petrolina Family through his three-year collaboration. Warm thanks and honorary plaques were given to the Cypriot Rally Champion Simos Galatariotis and to the members of the ‘Goal for Life’ charity organisation for their support. 

Mrs Georgia Lefkariti, Executive Director of Petrolina, in her address, thanked the supporters of the festival for their contribution, the volunteers and especially the staff of Petrolina, the petrol station owners and their families, for their enthusiasm, energy and participation. She specifically thanked Pavlos Kontides who “with his strong will, dedication and hard work has succeeded in joining the ranks of the top sailors of the world, while his humbleness and ethos have won the hearts of all Cypriots.” 

During her address, the president of the ‘Miracle Babies’ association, Mrs Stella Kyriakides, thanked Petrolina for the great contribution and support. 

The event was concluded with the presentation of honorary plaques to the supporters and volunteers of the 4th Petrolina Charity Festival.
