At a press conference held at Petrolina's offices in Larnaka, the 5th Petrolina Festival was announced. The festival will take place on Sunday, September 24th, at Europe Square in Foinikoudes, Larnaka, from 15:00 to 23:00. This year, the festival is dedicated to supporting the Association "One Dream One Wish" for Children with Cancer and Related Diseases with the message, "Empowering dreams together!"
The Petrolina Festival is the culmination of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility actions and has been established as a tradition, highlighting the importance of offering to fellow human beings.
Ms. Georgia Lefkariti, the Executive Director of Petrolina (Holdings) Public Ltd, highlighted in her speech that Petrolina's longstanding support for the "One Dream One Wish" Association is a testament to their commitment to supporting the community. She acknowledged that fulfilled dreams and wishes serve as powerful sources of motivation in facing life's challenges with greater strength and optimism.
Furthermore, she expressed confidence that on Sunday, September 24th, Europe Square in Larnaka will be transformed into a very inspiring space for children, who never cease to teach us valuable life lessons. She extended her gratitude to the Municipality of Larnaka and other supporting organizations for their assistance in the event.
Expressing his gratitude, George Penintaex, President of the “One Dream One Wish" Association, spoke about its longstanding relationship with Petrolina. He described it as a lifelong bond, emphasizing that the company has stood by the Foundation for the past 14 years, with the utmost enthusiasm and dedication. He noted that Petrolina has been a consistent sponsor of the annual "Love Route" and the annual "Festival of Joy and Giving/Offering," as well as the " Spreading Happiness" initiative in schools. Petrolina also provides support for the needs of children living with cancer and offers scholarships to students undergoing treatment. This support continues with the 5th Petrolina Festival.
In his own speech, the Mayor of Larnaka Mr Andreas Vyras spoke highly of the relationship that the Municipality has developed with Petrolina, expressing his gratitude to the company for its tangible support to the community at large. He stated, "Aside from having such an important purpose, theFestival is a significant celebration for the city of Larnaka, promising joy for both the young and the old."
