The 4th Petrolina Charity Festival will support the Miracle Babies Association (Mora Thavmata). This was announced by the Cypriot petroleum company Petrolina at a press conference. The Festival will take place on Sunday the 23rd of September, at the Europe Square, at Finikoudes bach in Larnaca, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with the message “Together we make Miracles”.
It is a Festival filled with joy and community spirit for the whole family, with live music, lots of games, food and competitions. Our Olympic Champion Pavlos Kontides, our rally champion Simos Galatariotis, and beloved football players from the “Goal in Life” charity organization, will be present at Festival kiosks distributing autographs and taking photographs with the public. The entertainment program will include the Larnaca Children’s Choir, songs by Andronikos, and will be concluded by a concert with Melisses (MEΛISSES). Entrance to the festival and participation in the games is free of charge. All the proceeds from the sale of food and drinks will be donated to support the “Miracle Babies” Association.
Mrs. Georgia Lefkariti, Executive Director of Petrolina (Holdings) Public Ltd, in her address emphasised that “the establishment of the Festival as a tradition is due to the great response of the public and the enthusiastic effort of the volunteers of the Petrolina Community, the Petrolina Kids Community and other volunteer friends”. “Humanity, compassion and solidarity are values that Petrolina always promotes and shares” added Mrs. Lefkariti.
She also expressed certainty that on Sunday, September 23rd, Europe Square will be filled with people’s love for “Miracle Babies”. She also thanked the Mayor of Larnaca and the other companies and organisations that support the event.
In his address, Mr. Kostakis Lefkaritis, the Executive Chairman of Petrolina (Holdings) Public Ltd, expressed his pride that the Petrolina Charity Festival, which is the greatest example of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the Company, has already been established as a tradition. He noted that one of Petrolina’s lasting goals is to reciprocate the trust that it has been shown by the Cypriot consumer for all these years.
Mrs. Stella Kyriakides, president of the “Miracle Babies” Association and member of parliament, thanked Petrolina on behalf of the Association, and highlighted the vision of the association, to build a new, modern intensive care unit for premature babies at the Makarios Hospital. Mrs. Kyriakides emphasized that “Actions, such as the 4th Petrolina Charity Festival, bring us closer to this goal. Based on the association’s plans this vision will begin to transform into reality from the first quarter of 2019”.
In his address, Mr. Andreas Byras, Mayor of Larnaca, stressed the importance of such significant events in the advancement of the city of Larnaca, attracting people and families from all over Cyprus.
